An Eye For An Eye Leaves The Whole World Blind

Another week, another round of uni classes. Another restless hour of Ada daydreams. If only I was normal...

Third week of Uni starts today. I missed the first 40 minutes of Bodies, Cyborgs and Cyberspace this morning, because I had to go see my eye specialist. On Thursday last week, I was at K and my eye just wouldn't stop hurting, really really bad. So I went to OPSM and asked them if they could do something for me, and the optometrist there just said she couldn't do anything for me. So, I went back to K and lasted the night out, and went home and took my contacts out, and my eye was stinging like crazy. It was so painful I was crying (which is funny in hindsight cause my eye was weeping and I was crying at the same time. I'm suprised I didn't end up dehydrated.). So, I went to bed and got a restless nights sleep (why should that night be any different from the others) cause I was terrified I was going to wake up and find I had gone blind. So, I got up the next day, and went to work and decided to go to the eye specialist before work. And they crammed me in and he took a look at it. And it turns out I had a piece of lint on my eye and it had scratched all the tissue in my eye. So, I had to use some eye drops and its better now. But my eye specialist was so mad that the lady at OPSM hadn't looked at my eye.

Anyway, so I was meant to order more contacts and some glasses. And then today when I went for a check up (and I'm sure my eye specialist couldn't remember why I was there) they couldn't find my file. So they rang me about half an hour later and said that just for the lenses in my glasses it would cost $310! Plus $219 for the frames. So, I'm like 'Let me get back to you'. I really need to glasses cause I have none of them are strong enough, and my old frames are too small so I can't use them. So, I'm gonna speak to my Dad to find out how much the health fund will pay for me. That's the problem with being blind.

Anyway, that afternoon (Friday) I had to go to the funeral for my Uncle Wally. Did I tell you he died? On the fourth. He had diabetes and he wasn't very well, and then about six months ago, his son died, and he just gave up really. It was sad. Though it did remind me, seeing all my wacko cousins at the funeral, why it is I deny relation to that particular part of the gene pool. They are the biggest freaks of all time. Oh my god. There is way too much chlorine in that gene pool.

Oh my god. I just looked at a bunch of photos on one of my friends myspace. I am so ugly!!!!

Oh I'm gonna go bury my head in the sand. I'm am so so so ugly.

That's it, I have to leave.

I might be back.
